Rumor has it there's some easy simple conversion device that only costs about $60 bucks and'll letcha burn your records onto CDs. I think it plugs between the turntable (if you remember those) and the computer (which you know about or you wouldn't be reading this probably, unless it's over someone's shoulder), but amn't really sure. I think you don't need any particularly complex software for this to work. But what do I know? My source for such info is off in Oregon for a week, so I'm checking w/you folks on the off-chance you know what I'm talking about and wanna share such knowledge.

Many thx for the response. Luckily I managed to find my source (hadn't left for OR yet after all) so now know what to get: the PC interface pre-amp mixer from www.dak2000.com for approx $70. It comes w/software and everything else needed in one thingiemabob. So I'll get it - and my source will help w/it when/as needed, which makes it just the thing.
