Decent night o' sleep. Odd dreams though. Out in conservatory/squash patch. Sharp internal pains. Squash couvade. Reached over and palpated pulsing, growing bits at end of squash runners. Peeled back leaves and found small cabbage/squash-patch kidlets. Two sharing space. Too young to survive, or so I supposed. Dunno really much 'bout gestation of humanoid squash creatures. They slowly cooled...and their heartbeats stopped. Could I have prevented this? I felt it inside myself as their life essences drained away. Shuddering guilt. Odd.

Leaving that behind, I'm looking forward to the day. SheBop calls...

More dreams... Parts were okay (one bit surprisingly pleasant even), but what sticks out was unnerving: Mom & I were going to take a dip, but as I sat on the bank and dangled my foot in the water, I suddenly put my arm out to stop Mom from diving in, as I'd noticed a long-@ss snake in the water, and then another (a cobra, underwater, neck flared), and as I looked around more came into view/focus. I counted at least 10 snakes (mostly cobras), then slowly pulled my leg back and up outta the water. Dunno what happened next, but my heart was racing when I woke up.

So I'm starting on a new project today and I'm not as prepared as I could be, but it'll be fine. My SubConc Mind, however, has decided to take charge and let me know that I should be far more prepared...and filled my dreams last night w/massive stressness as punishment and a reminder of WHY I prefer being ready and on top of matters. Have recovered from my meat-induced coma. Green Field (LB) was quite delightful. Thx to [livejournal.com profile] dragonfly_003 for including me in her b-day luncheon gathering yesterday. Hope you had fun dancing last night. (I took a hot bubbly bath then crawled into bed for 12 hours.) And thx to [livejournal.com profile] daeglan for turning me onto Anita Blake. I've got the first one to return...and perhaps more to borrow (hint hint). Last night's dreams...have faded b'c I'm upright, but they were fairly intense as well. Today's plans: PACK for trip, TIDY somewhat, SHUTTLE svc to LAX, D-LAND joyousness!

Woke up terrified several times in the night and early morn from realistic zombie siege dreams. It's going to be a lovely day outside, regardless of any hemmed-in fears inside. Read "Guilty Pleasures" yesterday, finishing last night. Is there a connection? Probably so. Aptly named. Today: mundanity & meat: laundry & Brazilian BBQ.

It's rare that I remember my dreams so I'm noting this one for posterity. 'Twas on an island somewhere. We were working at/for some sorta summer camp featuring dress-up (some odd combo of faerie-wings, Faire, and gawd-knows-what required burlap and thick yellow monk-belt-ish rope) and there were a mess of Ray Harryhausen-esque monsters battling all about. It wasn't scary, just the way it was - there was constant schedule-reshuffling as combat raged on the meadow where we'd planned to picnic one afternoon so we had to snorkel instead and eat on the beach.

Very Excited & Pleased 'bout tonight: The Eagles at Staples!!! Haven't seen 'em since they played the Rose Bowl (w/Sheryl Crowe opening) way back when (Hell Freezes Over - 1994).
