Afternoon On Tuesday, October 30, 2007

So, is anybody else interested in getting together to wander Point Defiance Park in the afternoon on Tu, 10/30/07 w/me 'n' ebony_sphynx 'n' whoever else from Clan Sidhefire 'n' elsewhere cares to join us? Not quite sure where to meet, but from a purely silly standpoint I find Never Never Land appealing. If'n the weather were fine and we felt like it, we could always rent kayaks, but this strikes me as unlikely. There're also the Japanese Gardens. Most interestingly of all might well be the Spine Trail (a 2.5 mile hike w/what sounds like good views along the way). Thoughts welcomed. Final plans TBD.

EDIT: It's gonna be a potluck picnic in the park.

Count me in since you're coming to my neck of the woods. Taking one car? Room for me? Anyone care to swing by and pick me up on the way? *batting eyelashes*

I also wouldn't count on kayaking; the water is pretty rough there most of the time and getting wet is almost certain, so with the colder weather it might not be the best idea. The Japanese garden is lovely year round, as are the various overlooks and there's lots of trails. ;o)

Yay - I was hoping your flexie schedule'd mean you could join us. I'm sure we'll be able to figure out how to snag you along the way out yonder. Ooh, and since you know the area, mebbe I'll pick your brain on Fri and/or Sun 'bout where to go and all that jazz!

I am off at a conference, of course, (in Seattle) but Never Never Land can be very cool and creepy, especially in the winter. I have been meaning to bring my camera over there for a while and just play. I love Pt. Defiance Park because I don't have to go far to be smack in the middle of some really old and gorgeous trees. It is always good to spend time in a world greater than yourself. The weather is really beautiful up here right now. October is one of my favorite times of the year here. I came up here a couple of times at this time of year before I moved up here and just loved the fall colors.

Yeah, NNL looked like a great spot for funky photos. I, too've been enjoying Fall very much, 'specially when the leaves actually fall 'n' swirl all around. Wish you could join us on Tuesday. It'd be really nice to see you some time, regardless. Hope the conference's going well. :-)

To rent kayaks...you can always buy inflatable kayak and I think the price will be the same.
