Times Marches On

Mom sent me 'n' my bro an e-mail yesterday 'bout teaching her final class of Anthro 25 EVER. She's retiring from SJSU. (Of course, as she's in academia, this means she'll just teach 2 class (2 sections of Human Sexuality) for a while instead of juggling 4 or 5 section of various courses...but still, it's a huge change and she's ready for less.) A glance at the calendar reveals that my baby bro turns 38 o'morrow. This hardly seems possible. Needless to say I've got a lot streaming through my mind.

It's been lovely visiting w/fambily 'n' Dear Friends lately and I'm gonna make the most of my time(s) down here, but damn I'm glad I don't live here (SoCal) any longer. Gonna hit Sta Monica today, have din-din w/friends tonight, then visit the MouseHouse o'morrow.

Yay for retirement to part time. My Dad was soooo happy to finally be able to spend more time doing other things. Congrats to your Mom. :)
