Does anybody out there know how to darn? I've got a sweater w/an ever-increasing hole in the sleeve that I'd love to get fixed but lack the know-how (not to mention the skill). Meal-exchange or some other form o' barter'd be grand.
I have just done some research on darning, and i think I could do it for you in little time...Perhaps that can be part of me helping on Monday (unless I come by sooner?)...can you send me a photo of the item in question so I can arrange to have the right colour/weight of yarn with me? Also, do you have extra lightbulbs, because I don't have a darning ball and one of those would work well.
For some reason I just had a strong urge to go to the Mystery Spot with you...I wonder if that will happen in the near future...we'll see.
Oh, wow - you darn, too! That's be SWELL. Can't seem to post pics in a comment so'll post 'em as an LJ post in another few minutes. The yarn itself's a bit darker orange than in the photo, but there's also yarn-stores near me so we can take the sweater in if need be.
Ya' know what, I've never actually BEEN to the Mystery Spot, which is very silly considering how long I lived not so very far away. We could stay at the house in Carmel and make it a fun adventure...we shall see re: when - damn good incentive to get stuff done, I must say!
