and so it begins... Serious culling & boxing, HO! Must fill the CD player and hit shuffle and DO IT. Now. *looks longingly out window at blue sky & mountains beckoning* *sighs* Deferred gratification's such a b!tch.

Darn It!

Does anybody out there know how to darn? I've got a sweater w/an ever-increasing hole in the sleeve that I'd love to get fixed but lack the know-how (not to mention the skill). Meal-exchange or some other form o' barter'd be grand.

The Give-Away Begins

Who wants a Queen-sized water bed w/baffles (so not as wave-machine-like as the olde style)? If'n you want it, come get it. Oh, you may have to help me unfill it, unless I do this before you get here to take it away. One person alone can in theory do it (the friend I got it from did it on her lonesome), but I ain't gonna do it w/out help. First come, first served. Included: box springs & frame & baffle-filled matress-containment system.

A Note On Packing w/Kittenheads "Helping"

An open box is an invitation for a kittenhead to curl up and sleep inside. This doesn't help hugely. Solution: have several open boxes and hope they choose the empty one rather than the partially filled one(s). *shakes head & sighs*

Mutual Scoring w/Ex & Wife #2!

I just scored a chest o' drawers and approximately a half-cord of good moving boxes. They were happy to free up space in their apartment & storage unit and I was pleased to get 'em., so everybody's happy. Also arranged to buy a used Washer & Drier from her...must now just figure out how to get 'em from Sacto to PDX sometime in the next few months (and then make it so).

And now: FOOD beckons...
