mlerulesMy first thought this morning upon waking up sick (sore throat - voice nearly all gone and stuffy runny nose/sinuses) is "dang, this means I've gotta cancel my doctor's appointment this morning." WTF? Used to be one would try to go visit the doc when one got sick. Nowadays I've apparently adjusted to the mindset (too) well so that one goes to see the doc when one's got an appt for something specific and pre-arranged. Getting sick enough to warrant seeing a health-case professional means calling up for same-day urgent care appt and hoping to get squeezed in w/whoever/anyone. Hell, I'm gonna go see MY DOC this morning BECAUSE I'm sick, as well as b'c I've got a "wellness care" appt w/him (annual stuff)!
