Summer Bliss
Aug. 29th, 2005 01:50 pmYesterday at Polly's Pies, whilst b-fasting pre-D'land, we discussed the merits of homemade ice cream. Then post-D'land we made and enjoyed same. (Well, not really "we" - HE made some. We merely stirred the mixture a bit and crushed a teensy bit of ice. 'Twas a delightfully rich vanilla/mocha/choco chip affair. I left before 'twas fully ripened (or whatever the term is), but the bites I sampled were AWESOME.
So...I just pulled out my ice cream maker, pumped up the freezer (lowered the temp), stuck the thingie inside, and am now reading up on frozen decadence in the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream & Dessert Book for o'morrow. MUST go to Curves during the day! Not sure what flavor to make (first). Am considering Heath Bar Crunch (perhaps w/Coffee HBC), Butter Pecan, or basic French Vanilla Choco Chip.
