I just broke something dear to me. I do hope I can put it (small ceramic box that used to belong to my grandmother) back together again. Moved too quickly and it slipped, spilling the contents (rings & things) into the sink as it broke into several pieces...at least the drain stop was in and no jewelry was lost. Not the end of the world, but not my happiest moment either.

It happened the same way with my last girlfriend. A friend accidentally brushed over a beautiful crystal bowl-like holder (small) with a 3" protrusion that you could keep rings on for safe keeping. It was one of the last things she had from her mother who died a few years back.

You have my sympathy. If it can be repaired then so much the better. If not then I'd wonder how much mental anguish your grandmother would want you to suffer for it, if any. Momentary dope-slaps are acceptable.

Nah, not suffering too much - the momentary dope-slap's right on target though. Hopefully [livejournal.com profile] delerium3 can help me mend it, as she's a whiz w/ceramic stuff.
