RPG'ers May Want To Watch This. And Part Two, Too.

In other news, it's gonna be Stupid Hot again today, hotter than yesterday, but not as hot as o'morrow & Wed's upswings into triple-digit nonsense. Yeah, I lived in SoCal for over 20 years, but I opted to reside on the Westside, the last dozen years a mere 13 blocks from the Pacific Ocean, so I rarely had to deal w/this. Luckily it cools off at night at least somewhat so I'm now sucking all the cool air into the house before entombing it for the day. Hmm, I'm thinking an afternoon matinee ($3 - 1pm) of A Night At The Museum: Smithsonian might be in order.

Phew!

Well, THAT potential stress-monkey's off my back, thank goodness! I've been outta town (heck, outta the state) for all of July 'til last Friday afternoon. Went in to collect my mail at the earlier possible chance ('twas closed over the weekend), this morning, only to find a Jury Summons for jury service starting THIS WED (7/29/09). Language about possible contempt of court, arrest warrants, and any excuses needing to be submitted at least a week ahead of time blah blah blah. It's all fine though. I read everything through, called the courthouse, and've postponed it for a week so it'll begin on Wed, 8/5/09, AFTER FW09, not right before.

Now, to get back to the FW09 prep...

Been a while since I lost - and also found - myself this deeply in a book...since one took me so far and deep inside and also beyond myself. Remembering again why Hermann Hesse is one of my fave authors. Re?reading Narziss & Goldmund now. Many thoughts and feelings swirling 'round. Lots more to say...but sleep beckons. It's gonna be hot again tomorrow and I need to get up early(ish) when it's still cool to accomplish what's on the ToDo list(s) before I once again succumb to heat-induced lethargy.

I am quite pleased to have rediscovered the joy of baths: cool ones for relaxation and recovery from the heat, wherein I can read, get/be comfie, and successfully engage in more of the worthwhile BAPAMAP process. Bathtime - it's not just for Winter anymore, which pleases me greatly.
