Revelation
Feb. 20th, 2005 09:09 pmI don't need all my emotions super-intense. Sometimes the best of all is quite simple: contentment. I decided a while back that 2005 would be the year of...what the heck did I call it...Ineffable Ecstacy. Hmm, pretty sure there's something else that goes in there, pretty sure it's Bliss. But right now I'd settle for a good dose of contentment, 'specially if ongoing for any decent length of time.
I'm off-kilter. Don't like it. Not at all. I want certainty. Wow. Quick soundtrack shift: Simon & Garfunkel – I Am A Rock (and to a lesser degree Bridge Over Troubled Water). Went to Staples Center a while back (11/17/03) for my first (and to date only) visit. Heard S&G in concert. AMAZING SHOW. But that's neither here nor there. It's something I do miss now that Davey's got hisself another: going out for live music. Luckily Bob's filling in fairly well.
And I'm off, back to Wally Lamb's "I Know This Much Is True."

Intensity can rock. But it is also often VERY tiring...
