mlerulesA friend from high school just fwd'd me the Evite for a New Year's Eve party from folks who'd been mutual friends in high school. She's kept in touch w/far more people than I have from that era. I've kept in touch w/her. Reconnected w/a couple others a few years back and now keep in touch w/one one of 'em somewhat (e-mails and getting together a few times a year when I'm in the Bay Area). From UCSC, I've kept in vague touch w/one friend. Oh, yeah, and another I met through someone there I'm in touch w/now & again. From UCLA, the only I one I've kept in touch with is my ex-hubby.
Looking at the names and reading the replies makes me realize how different my path has been from theirs. Some regrets well up. Acceptance will kick back in again soon.
