Balance, Cont'd: Wildflowers & IRS

delerium3 today. We didn't walk the entire Tom McCall Point/Nature Preserve" trail, as I had to return for an appointment w/my tax preparer re: a confusing letter from the IRS in yesterday's mail. 'Twas a glorious day for hiking (mid-70s w/a nice breeze). We saw loads of fab wildflowers (lupine & arrowbalsamroot galore, w/a decent selection of Indian Paintbrush & yarrow, a smattering bonus Bachelor Buttons, and plenty of mystery pea-fambily plants).
After my meeting, I spent 1.5+ hours on the phone w/the IRS and now know what to do 'bout the letter 'n' issue. (Nothing too worrisome, thank goodness, just some annoying i-dotting and t-x-ing to take care of, which I'll do next.) Luckily this came up when I was home, rather than away for 2+ weeks, since the deadline for dealing w/the issue is 20 days from the date of the letter. Phew for good timing!
