So, sometimes it's annoying 'cause I really really like a song I hear on the radio but they can't be bothered to say what it is or who it's by ('cause clearly you'd know if'n you were cool). Now a Dear Friend has found me a solution to this l'il problem: http://www.yes.com/ YAY!

The election's nearly over - and yes, of course I voted - so now my phone machine won't be filled daily with "Hi, I'm so-and-so..." msgs and my mailbox won't be stuffed daily w/Vote for/against Such-and-So. AND: I finally got 'round to talking to the H-wood Bowl folks 'bout why I've neither rec'd nor heard from 'em 'bout the tix I ordered on-line ONE (1) MONTH AGO TODAY. Tix Now In the Mail! )

The power of the internet is great: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~msmith03/songtitles/songday.htm
Plus I've gotta listen to my Days of the Week tape from 10/8/94 to hear what's on't, unless a scan of the contents of the Tapes folder reveals the playlist.

Am re-experiencing some wacky wonderfulness this morn. Fast fiddlin' music has recently been in heavy rotation 'round here, what with Our Boyz at the MouseHouse spawning the Fast Fiddlin' compilation played muchly during the recent PacNW trip all reinforced by yesterday's Topanga Banjo Fiddle music fest. I find myself listening to far more of the country version of Pink Floyd's The Wall then I'd planned. It's awesome!

"Think of your favorite underrated film, type the name into Google and do an image
search. Find the best pic and then post it in your journal, but don't say what
the name of the movie is! Once you post the picture, it's up to your friends to
figure out what the movie is from the pic you posted. Ready...set...GOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Thx to [livejournal.com profile] sidhefire for this. And to [livejournal.com profile] stacymckenna for the LJ/html training.

Vapour Clouds )

EDIT: 1:00 a.m. 12/27/05 compilation done & burned. Will give it listen o'morrow (and Th as well if req'd) and modify as needed. Feels good to have gotten something done, even if post-Road Trip. More likely to do this pre-, but for whatever reasons things got switched this time around.

Instructions: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. Turn Me On - Norah Jones
2. Heroin - Lou Reed
3. Baby I Love You - Aretha Franklin
4. Son Of A Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield
5. Downstream - Supertramp
6. L-O-V-E - Project Pimento
7. Marco Polo - Loreena McKennitt

Self-tagging: do it if'n you want to...and you KNOW you want to!
