Canoodling & Deneedling

It's time for a quickie canoodle trip w/Amazing lightfoote (ALF) to scout out Lake Ozette for this summer's longer multiple Boat Toad Rip for delerium3's b-day excursion. (It's now the 2nd annual b-day camping trip, w/last year's taking place at the Hoh Rain Forest, a different part of the same Nat'l Park as this year.)

I'll fetch ALF from B'vue after work this afternoon so we can head Westward (Ho!) and ferry over to the Oly Peninsula and ultimately land at Lost Resort. Yeah, SO glad we got a cabin (w/heat!) for tonight & o'morrow night, as it's wet 'n' mucky out and tomorrow's 7-8 mile canoodle (w/stop for scouting and lunch and frisbee if'n we remember to pack it into Tigger) may well get us wet (60% chance of rain).

Ayup, we're taking the orange canoe this trip, as Green Hornet's now back at the Hive after Wintering at CopperMoon. Starting to bounce 'bout the mini-Toad Rip! Will return Saturday, meeting the oh-so-kind wildwoosi at the Edmonds ferry terminal so she can take ALF and Tigger (and accoutrement) back to CuM whilst I continue Southward to the Hive. That's gonna be a LONG day o' driving.

Then Sunday it's time once again to deneedle jaylake, who's going in this morning for round #2 of chemo. Die Cancer Die! is all I'll say 'bout that now. That aft/eve, ladydrakaina will grace the Hive w/her presence and we'll get to hang out and explore Portland s'more together, which'll be fun, as it's been a while since we've gotten to do so.

Next weekend my fellow CopperMoonies will head down to PDX for the weekend. It's multi-double-dating time, as they'll get time together on the train up and back, and I get time w/ALF and she gets time w/LJ-free D, and we'll all get some time together. Yeah, it can get complicated, but it's so worth it. :-)

And now: hot tea, showering, dressing, and packing...and mebbe filling the birdfeeders if time permits.
