I just had a lovely Happy Hour+ at Sapphire Hotel, one of my local fave hang-outs. I chatted w/folks at the adjoining table - as I'm wont to do - and found interesting overlaps (Santa Cruz, &c.). After recommendations from several different people, I'm quite intrigued by The Victory Bar, home of at least some classic cocktails and a happy hour spatzle special...this I must experience myself one of these days.

This evening, though, it's back to the Mt Tabor Theater for more live music. (Yay for good music venues a short walking distance from the Hive :-) It's bluegrass this eve, courtesy of 4 on the Floor, Hackensaw Boys (from TN), and another band who I don't know 'bout (yet). And for only $12 at the door! Ah, good cheap live music makes my soul soar...

Life pleases me these days. :-)

I've had the spatzle at the Victory Bar. It was tasty. :)

It was a bit boisterous for my tastes the one time I went in, but they serve their spatzle late into the night, which gets them points in my book. :)

Hope you had fun at the Tabor last night!
