On Vacation

mlerulesI'm currently on vacation right here at the Hive. Fargo's curled up in lap...well, sitting up on my lap, more than a little annoyed that I'm tip-tapping on my laptop rather than holding him - so this entry'll take longer than it might otherwise.
The Night Owl MLE has ruled the roost the past several many days. H&N visited from the Northlands from last Wed 'til around this time yesterday (Sat). I (and I believe they) had great fun 'n' conversation 'n' food 'n' socks 'n' music. Our days ran into the wee hours (approx 3am for going to bed) and thus began fairly late w/lunch/brunch as first meal/outing. We managed to fit in some good relaxation sessions - curled up on the couch reading/napping/communing w/kittenheads and/or watching Lady Gaga videos and/or chatting away - to provide some balance to the walkies, dancing, movie-going, shopping, culinary enjoyment, and other wandering 'round Portland bits.
It makes me so happy when I can spend good quality time w/Dear Friends here in my hometown. And now I'm here (mostly) alone at the Hive, enjoying myself thoroughly. Off in a bit for sushi for SS's b-day w/her &![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ferociousbcycad. I'll take the bus, b'c I can, which is so nice as I'm done w/driving for a while.
Today's a nice combo of lazing about and getting stuff done and socializing and not. I am content.
