Home Again Home Again
Apr. 7th, 2010 10:02 amGot back to the Hive yesterday afternoon, welcomed by Portland's good weather (upper 50s & sunny). Saw lots of early Spring's soft pale green all the way along Hwy 5, contrasting nicely w/the stark branches of the recent Winter's tree-sleepiness. Had a very nice visit w/
vismaya_viewer who oh-so-kindly fed me numbly home-made soup & toast & tea. We chatted and I passed along a mess of my olde fave kidlet books for the Orphanage household (young 'n' old) to enjoy.
Overall, though the drive was more tiresome than cheery. It took more energy than I derived from't. It hasn't always been this way. This is a fairly new phenom. Not quite sure what to make of't. Shan't dwell, but shall ponder some. And some potential pearls - still just scratchy grains of sand at the moment - did get lodged in my mental craw: something something something about Pickled Effervescence...
Feeling more flat & stale than bubbly & fizzy...
It felt SO good to cross the river and return to Oregon & Portland. I'd considered busing over to Clinton Corners to enjoy The Pagan Jug Band, but opted to stay at the Hive, much to the kittenheads' satisfaction. I ended up taking a good long hot bubbly-bath and reading (and enjoying) all of Rick Riordan's 1st Percy Jackson & The Olympians novel: The Lightning Thief. For balance, I also struggled w/a clogged sink drain, dragging out hairballs & dirtballs & dust-bunny carcasses and pouring nasty degunking goop into the drain overnight. Still slow as molasses in February.
Today: DDS for teeth cleaning, taxes, walkies...
Not currently BAPAMAP. Would like to return there though.

Love you honey. Dancing around the kitchen with you today.
