mlerulesSo, out walking my neighborhood earlier today, I noticed a flier on the door of the Mt Tabor Theater (a couple of blocks from here) for what's up this coming weekend. Apparently Abney Park will play, amongst others, at Conflux: NW Dark Arts Festival. This Dark Harvest will feature live music, ritual theater, gothic fusion bellydance, butoh art show, fashion show, and dance party. Fascinating.
Next month's Mt Tabor Theater offerings include Dark Side of Moonshine aka Poor Man's Whiskey (a Bay Area bluegrass band) performing their cover version of the entire Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album on Fri, 10/23/09. The theme (costumes encouraged) that night = Wizard of Oz. Details HERE. Yet another opportunity to don my flying monkey outfit!
Now, to return to mowing lawns and other yardwork. It's a lovely, blustery, mostly clear, quite warm day and I'm enjoying spending time out in it!
