Tonight's dinner was good crusty bread w/Vichyssoise made by the incomparable vonvoncake. 'Twas deliciously numbly and filled our tumblies oh-so-nicely! Thank you so much, dear one! Now: crash go boom sleepie-bye time. *yawn*

Oh, all of a sudden it started pouring down rain. Now it smells just great outside...and today's barrel watering's for naught (oh, well).

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. I can't wait to do our cheese, bread, fondue, honey, etc. dinner. And it would be a blast to go to Pike's Place with you all and do the everyone buy something different and put it together for a mystery dinner thing...

And I quite like the Mystery Dinner idea as well. Have you done this before? Does each person get assigned or choose a vague/general food topic (veggie, protein, sweet, savory, &c.?) or is it purely random?

I've done it both ways. I kind of like the assignment method since then you are sure to have protein, etc. And depending on how many people are in the group, each person can be assigned more than one thing.
