Dear LazyWeb Bakers:
Feb. 23rd, 2009 12:44 pmI'm going to try to bake a pound cake recipe in small rose Bundt cake forms. The recipe calls for baking approx 50 minutes at 350. Any suggestions as to baking times for what're essentially a dozen fancy cupcakes rather than a loaf pan?
EDIT: Hmm, I might bake 'em in several batches, trying different times and seeing what works best.

Date: 2009-02-23 09:29 pm (UTC)get a straw (I usually use baboo skewers, because they're easy to find, and long enough to check without burning myself..) and poke it into one of the cupcakes, to the center. When it comes out clean, they're done.
Be aware that your standard muffin tin has spaces around the edge and in the center. the center ones cook slower than the ones on the edge, unless you leave some empty...
