Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given. Also, if you'd like me to elaborate on other things you associate with me, please leave them in comments and I'll address them in separate posts.
1.Toad Rips and adventure! Well, I've always like driving and Toad Ripping. Hard to believe I didn't get my driver's license 'til I was 23! (Although that might be part of why I like it so much...I'M IN CHARGE!) There's a certain FREEDOM I feel when I'm on the road, leaving my worries and cares (and piles o' carp) behind, not necessarily knowing where I'm next going to end up, land, sleep, eat, go, be, wander. I also use driving to process, to remember, to let my mind flow and float and wander, to test out music compilations which then provide and become soundtracks for chunks of my life. I live my life with passion as an adventure. Part of this is b'c it's what I've always done, and part of it's because it's how I chose to deal w/the pain of not having kids of my own. I now live my life in such a way that I wouldn't be able to do if'n I had kids...this makes it more bearable...and it's really quite enjoyable, interesting, stimulating (growth, thought, exploration), educational, and fun.
2.Self-exploration. I do this. A lot. For years I didn't know what I wanted, didn't even consider it a valid question, really. Now I do, so I consider it, along w/a variety of other questions. Current model for figuring out what's right for me: am I working to satisfy my needs in such a way that also positive affects those nearest and dearest to me and doesn't overmuch hurt/harm others/things that matter to me. CBA comes into play, although I'm also striving to (and more and more able to) pay attention to what my intuition says and where it leads me as well. Do I have all the answers? NO. Do I have a whole litany of questions: yes...and I'm also on the lookout for more to ponder/grapple with/mull over (such as those provided by way of this meme ;-) Answers matter less than consideration and thoughtfulness, although now and again some answers'd be appreciated, too. ;-)
3.The New and Different . Each and every day is new and different. Ditto moment. It's the attitude of fresh appreciation that matters. Shiny must balance w/secure, solid, grounded. That being said, however, I can (and do) balance in chaos, actually, which can make for lots of new and shiny situations and thoughts...
4.Catching your breath. Oh so necessary. I find I must schedule it in or I'll stress and/or get sick (physical manifestations of stress at times). Toad Ripping can provide good opportunities for catching my breath. Nature's awesome for't, as is spending time w/loved ones, snuggling, huggling, whatEVER'ing.
5.Sincerity. What's to say? I'm not a fan (what's the opposite? not foe/enemy, but something anti-fan) of manipulation, where one acts in order (primarily or at least muchly) to acheive one's goals w/out heeding others. That's the opposite of sincerity. Or one of 'em, anyway. I care sincerely, deeply, and passionately for people, for those I'm close to.
