I get to take a FERRY today! Yeah, it's olde hat for you folks who live up here in Ferry-Land (;-), but I haven't been on one in several years (since Cape Breton) so'm excited. Gonna be a good w'end. Now must go pack the last minute stuff before we take off later today. Back Sunday evening to home North, then home again (South) on Monday sometime.

EDIT: Yeah, I've taken the ferry to/from Catalina before, but even that's been a while now (5+ years). Also taken 'em in Europe, but it's been decades...

I lived in the Kitsap area for the first leg of my life and we often took the ferry to Seattle; I've taken hundreds of trips over the water and still enjoy it. Have a great weekend at 'the mysteries'. *hugs*

I keep thinking it'd be fun to organize a trip down to ride the Canby ferry some day just because I never have. Apparently the Portland Cacophony Society organizes an annual "let's dress up like fairies and go ride the ferry" party, so perhaps just joining in with that madness...

Oh, that sounds AWESOME! I've heard of this ferry and my 'rents took it a while back when they were visiting our relatives who live in Canby, but I still need my cherry popped. Hey, I happen to have a pair of faerie wings right HERE...
