The Pirates of Penzance - Which To Get?
Dec. 15th, 2007 11:14 pmSuperlative day! No energy for full details, suffice to say much good food, friendship, music, performance, attire, and delights for all senses filled my day and evening. Pics to follow in a day or so. What I keep coming back to though after today's condenced version of The Pirates of Penzance (<1 hour) which reminded me of seeing the whole thing in SF in approx 1982, is that I need a CD of the soundtrack, but I don't know which version's best/good, so I hereby ask the lazyweb for any thoughts, hints, suggestions you care to share. And yes, there're several of you who like musicals and'll have opinions I'm hoping you'll provide, and yes, I'm in particular looking at
crboltz as holder of the greatest soundtrack collection/selection who turned me onto that great Hair CD set not so very long ago.
