And now for something completely different:

My friend yourmuse arrives in town on Friday for nearly a week of vacation and fun and relaxation. Dunno yet what all we'll do or when, but thoughts 'bout possible destinations include spending time at Dante's for, variously/possibly: Dante's Sinferno Cabaret (Cabaret, Burlesque & Firedancing - 11/11), karaoke from hell (w/live band - Monday night, 11/12), and/or hitting Seattle for dancing on Sat (11/10/07) somewhere goth-tastic (sans smoke, ideally), and dunno what else).

Okay, so where does one go for dancing in Portland?

Well, there still is if'n it's a "private club" which at least one of the goth dance clubs has made itself out to be, annoyingly (to me).

And why might I be expected to remember this? I don't live in WA and only moved to the PacNW <9 months ago. ;-P

Oh, yeah, I've been meaning to hit it one of these Sundays since I moved here and one of my early-on house-guests reco'd it. It will happen...more than once...and methinks you'll be down for one of the outings! :-)

Yes, I would love to join you for one of those outings. I've heard the train is nice to ride down to Portland so when the time comes, I might travel via the rails, which will be cool 'cause I don't think I've ever been on a train. :o)

I've got a zoo membership so it's cheap to ride the 1/2 hour train ride to the zoo. 'Cept it might be closed for the season. More of a Springtime thing...still, lots of time yet as the wheel spins merrily along...
