Although now 'n' again I state a desire just to go w/the flow, I really feel far more comfie having certain plans set in place ahead of time (e.g., where I'll lay my head each night or at least firm options along such lines). Once basics're in place, I can roam 'n' range during the days/eves w/out worry. Everything's just about to pull together for the next set of adventures...PHEW!

I feel similarly.

I tend to run things very much this way myself. And I find that if I don't make those plans ahead of time, my going-with-the-flow can float me in very uncomfortable places. Granted, sometimes thats useful, but not always very comfie. :-)

Yeah, I have limited use for such usefulness and prefer a level of comfie-ness (or comfie-nest as my fingers originally typed).

I know what you mean.

I tend to phrase it as "I want there to be a plan. It's fine if the plan changes, but I want there to be one as a starting point."

Yeah. Good phrasing, that.

And I'd love to plan to spend some time w/you once you're more settled in. :-)

And I don't like to presume or impose, so'd rather have something set up then have to guess as to welcomeness.

See you tonight!.. I'll give you a call when I'm heading that way... Oh.. with all the people currently staying at your place.. do you want me to bring pillow & blankets with me?

Yay! No need to bring bedding along. J&L'll upstairs and Laurie flew out yesterday so you'll get the guest bedroom to yourself. I LURV having room for multiple sets of visitors.

Yep, I'm the same way; it's good to have an initial plan to work from with everyone clear on the intentions / which direction we're headed, and if the plan needs to change all parties involved are 'in the loop' via consensus. I need to at least know where I'm sleeping on any given night so that when I'm ready to sleep, I know where to fall. Or ditto! ;o)

Hee - yeah, I quite like getting to know a kitchen in a friend's house. Bathroom's easy enough to figure out, but I always bring a nightlight in my ditty-bag in case it's needed.
