Harvesting
Jul. 13th, 2007 10:54 amFingers stained deep rich purplish red and covered w/tiny cuts...oh so worth it. Nothing's quite as delightful as the burst and taste of sun-warmed mega-ripe blackberries plucked fresh off the bush and plopped right into my mouth. Yes, I DID get some of 'em into the container for later. ;-P
Now the delightful scent of fresh citrus fills my nostrils as I also just picked lemons, oranges, tangerines, and limes. It's past season for the Pakistani mulberries (*sniff*) but the Persian's season getting going now. The latter's smaller but tastier than the former. Plums're ripe, too, and juicy tasty numbly. Trick is not getting pelted w/them when plucking 'em.
Off to the WestSide in a bit for HP movie, a toy bag (hopefully) from Happy Six, visiting olde haunts, chow, &c. Off to the heatlands this eve to visit w/folks and celebrate natal-dayness.
