My New Fave Word: Interregnum*

'Cause it fits so well where I'm at these daze. Bushels of food for thought pouring into the barn of my mind from many directions. Something(s) bound to come outta all this (thoughts/feelings plus driving/processing, not to mention a new life in a new locale). New place(s). New people. New/different r-ships w/olde 'n' new 'n' known 'n' unknown. Today's plan: return home (PDX) to spend time w/a Dear Friend 'cause I'm in need of good chatting w/someone who listens well and has great insight(s) and knows me pretty darned well. May do a drive-by through Castle Crags State Park this morn as it's (sorta) on the way.

Most amusing bit of tourism/marketing today: the hotel's list of local sites to see/enjoy includes this brief description of the Pacific Crest Trail: "It is a hiking trail of several miles..." Um, several in this case being approx 2650!
