Sometimes you're so very close to someone...then you drift apart...and they're no longer (as) interested in keeping in touch. Sorta think it should hurt more and/or I should be upset. Instead, I'm just a bit sad b'c we've both lost something special.

EDIT: Mind you, I rarely lose things...merely misplace 'em for a spell.

I've always noticed that keeping in touch takes work. When I'm doing faire, that becomes my life. My friends outside of faire, my family, none of them will hear from me unless I contact them.

When faire is over, I'm exhausted and don't want to make any kind of effort. So unless I'm thrown back with people, the reality is, I loose touch with them. Or, I wake up and realize I'm missing certain people from my life and I try to get my butt in gear to at least talk to them. :-)
