Little Voices

mlerulesDangitalltoheck. I keep hearing the little voices in my head: "Mrs. X, Mrs. X, Mrs. X," just like I heard today - all day, repeatedly - from the students, bless their pointy little heads. I want this to STOP. Stop chanting my name. I don't have time for all of you, 'specially not YOU, at every moment of the day. If you're done (which you're prolly NOT - go ahead, turn the page over...oh, look: more stuff to do...and if your name's not on the top (like I started off by saying we do first, like we start off by going over EVERY SINGLE ASSIGNMENT, SEVERAL TIMES A DAY). I don't want these little hellions. I want to deal w/older, more mature, slightly wiser hellions. How to drown out the voices? Don't wanna dull my senses. Need to be sharp and clear-headed in general over the next 5 weeks, although now and again I'll have a glass of something fermented or a sip of something distilled. But not right now.
Was catnapping, appropriately enough w/Fargo (boycat) draped over my leg, when the little voices awoke me. Maybe a nice hot scented bubbley bath. The lavendar's just 'bout all gone. The vanilla may do, or maybe the eucaliptous (wow - what happened to my ability to spelll?), or maybe I'll root through the cupboard to see what's there.
Speaking of cupboards, my friend who frequently cat/house sits when I go away for a w'end, a few daze, seven weeks or whatEVER was over last w'end whilst I was up North at the wedding apparently woke up w/a ton of energy Sat morn so spent 2 hours organizing (I won't even pretend 'twas reorganizing) my cupboards, a chore I've been wanting and now again even attempting to do for YEARS. It's GREAT. They're also clean, so hopefully those dang blasted cupboard moths won't bother me any more. Anyway, she's over now and I'm gonna see if'n I can help her w/taxes (not Texas as my typo-laden fingers want to claim)...so b'bye!
