Pressure

Intense pressure can have two (2) effects: intense period of getting stuff 'n' things done or intense paralysis/inability to function. Deadlines generally HELP ME. What I have a problem with is self-imposed deadlines. I work better when told to do something by someone else or by circumstances not under my control.

The landlord just called to tell me a broker was coming by this afternoon to see the property. This all of a sudden shifts my attention away from everything else and back to the shining light (conflagration?) of What's Next/Where's Next. Pretty damned good timing, actually, 'specially considering...well, stuff 'n' things that've been swirling through my mind and conversations I've been having w/myself and others.

I think I'd be amazed what I could do if'n I HAD TO. Ideally I'll work diligently - okay, this means punctuated by sporadic intensity rather than strict on-going focus...or does/should it...I CAN DO IT...IF I SET MY MIND TO IT. Is it time? Is it what's required? 'Cause it ain't gonna by pretty or very happy...unless prolonging gratification's all it's cracked up to be. No, not freakin' bout by this. Just trying to reach a decision about how to approach the next set of upcomings: stay and shovel or go and do research so I know where to go/have a place to go? Soundtrack: Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

Okay, here's an experiment: I'm going to set a couple of goals here 'n' now for today: put away all the CDs and DVDs AND clean out the crap from the car. Now to do 'em...

You know.. I still think that the idea of you putting big stuff in storage; getting a nice RV & going gypsy for a year would work out well for you. You could take your home & kittenheads with you wherever you went.. and be self-contained to stay longer in places you enjoyed....
