A Sensible Alternative

Rather than no sex for the under-30s, how about instead spending big bux promoting same-sex sex as the best safe-sex sex when it comes to meeting the stated desired goal of decreasing incidences of unplanned pregnancy. Gah - it's so obvious it hurts!

Okay. I did it. Thank goodness for the ease of e-mail letter to editor submissions. Now we'll see if'n it gets published. Likely not as the article came out on Halloween so's probably considered olde news by now.

The most disturbing thing about USA today reporting the story today, is that several (slightly alternitive) new outlets reported it about 3 weeks ago. I think the problem with many americans, is that by the time news hits the main stream news outlets the stories are out of date, and its almost too late to get the government to change.

Still, olde news (relatively) though it may be, it DID hit USA Today so a mess o' folks who mightn't have seen it at all WILL read it...and it's so freaking stupid (and such an obvious boondoggle), that it can help effectuate a change. Slow moving buildups sometimes work more effectively than crash courses/events. Thinking something along the grassroots movements working better than rioting, but not finding the words. In short: better than nothing...hoping it's NOT too little, too late, 'cause I really really don't wanna be a cynic.
