Considering the strong push from conservatives (by the very nature of the word) for traditions and the strength of that argument alone I'm disappointed that there wasn't more resistance from them to violate this 800 year old tradition. After the defense of marriage act was based solely on the 'tradition' of marriage being between a man and a woman.

I feel like we're heading down a very dark and dangerous road so slowly that most people simply aren't getting it.
