anansi133 reminded me of why I HATE it in SoCal...and why I LOVE it. In short: traffic sucked (badly) but much stuff ROCKED:
Huntington Library & Gardens (despite the heat & crowds - 'twas FREE today, as it's the 1st Th of the month)
Field trip to The Pleasure Chest
Din-din at Fritto Misto
Ferris wheel spin at sunset
FREE Indigo Girls concert at the Santa Monica pier (w/guest encore by Vonda Sheperd (sp)) - 'specially 'causedelerium3 aka Michelisia/o waded through the crowd about 10 minutes before the main show (post-opener) went on and found us a perfect viewing & listening spot.
O'morrow: Bugs Bunny on Broadway at 8pm (not 7pm) at the Hollywood Bowl w/potluck picnic ahead of time, some movie (hee!) earlier in the day, and a mess o' errands. Leaving for The Trip on either Sat or Sun. Sun night: Ft Bragg, CA. Mon night: Coos Bay, OR. Will arrive in Rainier, WA on W, 7/12 or Th, 7/13.
In WA 'til night of 7/18 when I fly to Nova Scotia for a week. Then in WA for a few days before heading to OR for Faerieworlds Festival the final w'end of July. Arriving back home again on Fri, August 4, 2006. Will have only intermittent internet access for that four (4) weeks.
