The most direct route from the Yelm/Rainier area of WA to Portland, OR does NOT go through Yakima. Nonetheless, we did. We saw The Yak from which the city's name derives...or so we figure. If'n there were more it's be Yakimi (right?). So apparently There Can Be Only One. Guess this makes it a Highland(er) yak.

Okay, in case it's not obvious, I'm exhausted and babbling at least partially incoherently.

Someone asked for a verdict during the recent week in the Pacific NW. Far too soon to tell! My cup runneth over. I've gorged on food for thought. I figured in part I'd wait and see how I felt when I landed back home...contrasts can be telling. In-flight conversation:

Me: Why do I live here? (context specific: flying over all the lights everywhere coming into LAX)
Not Me: Because you're insane. (No pause whatsoever'tween my qx and the response.)
Me: I haven't really had a place to move to.
Not Me: Now you do.

Cannot even begin to portray the time in WA, other than to say 'twas massively positive in many ways, on many levels, for many reasons. Good people. Good Times (direct contrast to the End Times).

Portland was delightful as well.

i'm tired now...

Hee. As a matter of fact, we've been talking 'bout geodescic (sp) domes the past couple of daze.

Glad to know the initial audition went well. ;-)

Packing/sorting/culling's a high high priority, but there's more to do right now before I can even get there. Just starting to wake up...

More talking soon.

Oooo! Ooooo! YES!! I wana live in one of those! My dad built a Dome a while back, I was about 11 yrs old. I loved it. I was thinking of one of those for a more permanent structure. Soo much to do, so little patience.
