Downtown Explorations

A few days ago, I made a quickie cruise 'round the Lan Su Chinese Garden and snapped these shots. Walked into the Teahouse in the Tower of Cosmic Reflection, saw the crowds and heard the noise, so walked right back out again and headed back home to study.

Day before yesterday, a couple friends from SoCal stopped by for a few hours on their way to HI. I took 'em to Lan Su, and this time got to enjoy tea 'n' snackerals, as well as a good ramble through the garden. Here're some pics from that nice visit.

Now it's New Year's eve day, and it's starting to SNOW! Quite excited 'bout this, even though for now I'm stuck inside studying. It's happy-making looking out the window and seeing the decently-sized flakes come down. If'n it continues and starts sticking, that'll help me decide what to do this evening. I'd really like to hang out w/friends and have a party-invite that'd satisfy this desire. Rather than drive 30 minutes each way through (w/elevation changes along the way), I may stay more local and simply walk over to the Mt Tabor Theater for Pigs on the Wing (Pink Floyd tribute). We shall see...
