Silver Lining: Oppos to Explore Downtown
Dec. 27th, 2012 09:24 pmIt wasn't 'til traveling downtown via bus this morning that it dawned on me what it means that I'll be spending 5-6 mornings a week in downtown Portland over the next six weeks. What a fab opportunity to do a bit more exploring and wandering 'round there! Anybody wanna meet me downtown for lunch sometime? I'll be usually available at Noon/12:30pm, although class'll go later on occasion.
Today's loveliness (sunny w/pretty clouds, no rain or wind, and temps in the upper 40s) helped my mood lots, as did the getting out for walkies to bus and 'round town after class. Hit TriMet office in Pioneer Square to swap out 2-Zone tix for All-Zone & Day-Pass tix. Then walked over towards Chinatown. Had train-sushi w/T after a bit of studying 'n' hot tea at Backspace, an all-ages club/cafe w/pinball machines. Visited Lan Su Garden for a bit of roaming, but bailed on the Teahouse in the Tower of Cosmic Reflection because of crowds 'n' noise. (Guess I wasn't the only visitor on this oh-so-nice day ;-) Ah, well, I'll return w/a couple of outta-town friends on Saturday anyway, so that's fine.
Definitely feeling the Daunting, But Doable'ness of the next two months. It won't be easy, or a whole heckuva lotta fun, but I can do this, gorrammit!
And now to get off-line again and have at again...
