Wandering Portland
Sep. 30th, 2010 04:01 pmYesterday I took a friend - who's moving away from Portland soon - for his first visit to the Chinese Gardens. We had a fine time wandering around town and the gardens. Clickie for Pickies.
I'm thoroughly enjoying one of the last doses of hot weather. It's only the mid-80s so it's quite bearable. It caresses my skin gently yet firmly w/heat. (This past Monday's heat battered me way too harshly.)
My experiences at Huntington Gardens tend to be akin to religious ones. The recent visit though was closer to that of someone leading people through the freakin' desert. Hmm, I think this may indeed be a religious experience as well...just not one of my preferred ones. ;-P
It feels like round-up time. Have I done what I wanted to do this past year? By and large, yes. Got good camping in, ditto boating. Still have more outdoors/Nature-stuff on the calendar, too. Gonna continue these trends into 2011.
