Something's Burning

The light streaming in from the Southside of the house is all yellowish and orangey: lovely, but scary, as looking out the window at the sky reveals reddish-hued smoke billowing from somewhere SW of here. 'Kay, I'm 'bout to go run an errand to the NE. Assuming my return will be smoke-free and NOT like last night, when all traffic headed opposite of ours (405-N and 10-E) was blocked mightily w/nasty-@ss accidents blocking most lanes. La la la la la. Methinks I could move outta the SoCal area without much provocation.

Whoa, so you're really truly madly ;-) gonna do it?! Coo-el! I'm on no time-line. Things're fine and nice here and now, but travelling/visiting may help move matters along...and the more good folks who relocate up yonder, the more desirable the NW becomes as a destination.

a fleeting thought crosses my mind on wistful wings of romantic fantasy...

then reality fires its knocked arrow from the pressure of a compound hunting bow felling those wings.

on the ground the vole is inspected and the arrow has a code...

Failure to pay back taxes could provide me w/affordable propery if'n I could swing it and They (who failed to pay in the 1st place) didn't cure their default.
