Life's A Beach
Feb. 1st, 2006 09:58 pmDid a nice beach walk today. Contrails appeared all over the sky. Beginning surfers are SO thrilled when they ride a wave for 30 seconds...fun to watch. Walked on the sand then up the stairs (groan - in a good way) and all around the Sta Monica Farmer's Market (mmm, Asian Pear samples), where I bought a nice tree dirt cheaply. Realized my car was a couple miles away, but they held it 'til I returned and helped load it into the vehicle. Transplanted it (w/the able assistance of - hell, I helped her -
delerium3, who rox) and it's now in the living room in the spot formerly occupied by three (3) boxes of my pop's carp, two (2) boxes of which I've just tossed with the remaining one heading down to the garage o'morrow. Live greenery looks far better in this location, although I did (and do) like the green celtic knotwork throw I'd tossed over the boxes to hide 'em.
O'morrow's filling up quite nicely w/plans for lunch & dinner and pre-lunch and post-lunch and other possibilities existing throughout the day/eve. Still dunno whether I'm outta town this w'end. Finished Firefly (yet again) this eve. Next up: Serenity (it arrived yesterday)!
