SD: This Town Is (Becoming) Our Town
Feb. 1st, 2006 02:40 amAnother really good day in SD w/
delerium3, even w/out visiting any of the three (3) Erics or Danno. Enjoyed Balboa Park in the afternoon and into the eve (nice clouds at sunset): lovely plants (looking & smelling), a great sax player providing soundtrack, tasty warming tortilla soup & cafe mocha (bittersweet - yum) at the Prado - apparently bedhead's in for men's hair these days, a nice exercisey walk around various bits including the neato archery range. Afterwards got together w/
redefining_self for our trad'l dinner at The Field in the Gaslamp District. Really nice seeing him again...it'd been a while. Hopefully not such a long time 'tween visits this next time! [Mouse House!]
WayBack Highlights: The human Lipazanner (sp) loping slowly across the street, CalTrans steam cleaning the freeway (perhaps as prep for welding the freeway - great profusions of sparks from this work in a couple different locations), the realization that somebody needs to update the DK's California Uber Alles to reflect that Arnie's the Governator, the Wrinke In Time that occured coming home: we were in Mission Viejo...and then we were home.
Should be feeling more exhausted. Off to shower, then to sleep. Feeling better than I have in...hell, feeling pretty damned good right now...my downishnesses just don't last very long (even if'n they're intense when they hit).
P.S. aka EDIT: Tried less-than-sign backslash lj-cat greater-than-sign, but nothing happened.
P.P.S. aka EDIT2: Last night we also roamed the seafront, checking out the Maritime Museum (w/five (5 - count 'em) coo-el sea-going vessels to explore). Now must find a kind (and technologically proficient) soul to make a DigiPic into an LJ icon for me.

Date: 2006-02-01 05:57 pm (UTC)Got home too late to mention it to Amy but I'll run it past her today. Still not sure what her opinion will be. I'm sure I can come up on Monday for the day but may not be able to make it up on Sunday night.
