Lost (misplaced) recipe: FOUND! Glogg should have the two dots above the O, but I don't know how to stick 'em in. Anyway, here's a delightful trad'l Swedish drink recipe for this time o' year, thx to Malin (and her mom):
Glogg
3.5 cups apple cider/juice
Zest & juice of 1 lemon & 1 orange
1 vanilla bean, cut open
1 t. whole cardamom
1/2 pack (1/2 gram) saffron
8 white pepper corns
2 cinnamon sticks
3 cloves
3 T. honey
1.5 cups sherry
3/4 cup vodka
Mix all ingrediants (except sherry & vodka) into pot on stove and heat 'em up, stirring now and again. Add sherry & vodka, bring to simmer. DO NOT BOIL. Turn off heat, cover, let sit for an hour. Heat up and strain before serving. Good hot or cold. Serve w/raisin and slivered almonds sprinkled liberally on top (numbly to pick 'em out and eat 'em in between taking sips) and perhaps a gingersnap or two. Enjoy!
