So, if I call and tell you that I have a specific problem that needs addressing, please listen to me. Don't show up after I've said I need a roof repaired because of a leak expecting to sell me on having my roof completely redone. It's a waste of your time/energy and mine to have you come out if you're too busy to do anything other than full re-roofs these days. Just tell me and I'll move onto the next roofing company on the list, rather than figuring I'm all set since I've got a few estimates lined up, only to discover I've got NONE lined up as folks're too busy to do repair work and'd rather do full re-roofs only. Guess I'm living and learning.

Oh gosh, how very annoying!! I would be mad too! I hope that you can find someone who is honest with you... I wonder if checking on Next Door would be useful? Wishing you success in your hunt for roofing help

Yeah. I don't Next Door, but've asked for - and gotten - recommendations from other homeowners, quite a few of who have had new roofs put on recently. Roofers seem mighty busy these days, and my "fix" isn't as big as a full new roof job. Hopefully something'll come along soon. I've got a couple more things lined up now anyway.

I don't do next door either, but some of my friends have... I have a gallon can of Henry's Wet Patch sitting in my workroom, waiting on a friend who offered to slather it around various possible trouble spots on my roof late last year. But so far the leak has not returned... I shall be following your roof saga with great concern and hope for success

Yeah. Best of luck in your quest. We've been there, done that. This house is nearly as old as I am (!) so it can have...issues.

Thank you. I think I found the company yesterday. Now awaiting the okay from the insurance company. Hopefully soon. At least I did learn that the emergency fix looks good.
