Grey Day...w/Sparkles

Was gonna say how well today's weather matches my mood (damp 'n' grey 'n' foggy), only it ain't really so. Quite tired of roller coastering, but seem at least to have come up from the most recent deep dip pretty darned quickly. For now, I'm staying still, sitting strapped into the seat at the station, but it's not clear when the ride takes off next, or whether it'll be the Big Dipper, the upside-down loop-dee-loop, the Scrambler, or what. (There's always the oh-so-fun Merry-Go-Round w/the Dung Beetle seat ;-) Gonna set a spell, plow through slowly, take care of stuff 'n' things, and not take too long a view for now.
Last weekend I got to enjoy lotsa fab live music, which feeds my soul quite delightfully. Friday night's offering at FaerieConWest was Abney Park. We snagged a sweet spot off to the right of the stage, w/room to dance and a quick escape out of the crowd. Saturday night I headed across the water to SoulFood Books for a great Bone Poets Orchestra show. Sunday afternoon's highlight was Charles de Lint & MaryAnn Harris, playing and singing and telling tales 'bout songs 'n' stories. Some photos from last weekend up in Seattle & thereabouts live here.
T'other fun thing of note I did recently was take a lino block printing class at EM Space where we designed, carved, and printed out Valentine's cards. I made a small-run edition of 13 V-cards which I mailed out late last week. Now that they've been received, I'll show the photos of the process (and the resulting cards).
