<8 Miles to Go

delerium3 & I have fewer than 8 miles remaining to hike in Forest Park 'til we've completed the All Trails Challenge and hiked/biked all 80+ miles of Forest Park's trails to raise money for the Forest Park Conservancy. Many thanks to all my supporters 'n' sponsors, 'specially to jaylake whose recent donation pushed my figures up to my desired goal! (There're no worries if'n more folks wanna donate, of course ;-) Heck, delerium3 is nearly at w/her goal, too, so if'n you wanna donate, feel free to do so as there's still time, but not much, as the deadline is tomorrow, when we'll finish it all up. Whee!

It'll take half-again as many miles to hike the remaining <8 miles of trails 'n' FireLanes, as we've reached the inefficient backtracking stage. I've figured out the most efficient means of achieving our goals, although just the prospect of heading UP more FireLanes (known for steep elevation) makes my legs/back ache. We'll knock out as many today as possible, but I'm guessing we'll finish up tomorrow w/Ridge Trail & WireGate Trail (1.66 new miles w/2.68 miles of backtracking along Leif Erickson Drive and more than the dozenth backtrack along the start of Springville Rd/FireLane 7).
