Okay. I've only been back home for about 30 hours after spending nearly a week-and-a-half away. Mebbe that's why I'm feeling tired.

Today was a good day of house-elfing and hanging out hearing music 'n' stories. And I do lurv me good live music...and'm always amazed at Gomer Pyle-esque changes in voices from speaking to singing. Also saw Capt'n America (3D). It's a comic book. I had a good time, enhanced largely by the good company.

So I'm leaving again in the morning, then returning home again sometime Sunday afternoon. Then I'll be home for a full week, possibly more.

Why does it feel as if Summer's already waning, while it feels as if'n it's not really arrived yet...or at least has barely arrived? I think I'm tired. I know I'm tired. I'll feel good when I wake up in the morning. So now I'll toodle off to sleep.

Summer is waning, and it's barely just gotten here this year. This is the time of year for high summer, even though there's a whisper of a chill in the air as the sunlight's angle starts heading back toward the equinox and then solstice.

And driving down from WA today I noticed some leaves starting to change color. I'm NOT ready for the waning (and all the wain ;-)!

However, the cheerful part is that sometimes the waning can be some of the hottest and nicest days of the summer! Though that happens more often in Eugene than in PDX, it's still pretty nice here when that happens.
