Way back when I used to zip up PCH to Santa Barbara to hit the Nordies sale as soon as it opened, I found a scarf I just had to have. So I bought it, then shopped around for a matching suit. Yes, the accoutrement came first.

It hurt - but in a good way - when I finally donated that purple silk suit & scarf to Salvation Army. I really no longer needed so many suits. (Dang I'm glad to be done w/that phase of my life!) I kept a cream colored one for weddings and a black one for funerals.

But now to the point of this post: today I put away my goodies from last week's World Spice expedition in Seattle. Now I wanna cook w/Besar, which smells heavenly. I have the spice (accoutrement), and need to clothe it w/something delightful. Hmm, they suggest using it w/winter squash. Now where will I find a good stash of such like? Hee! (Our CopperMoon garden produced a delightful bounty so I'll gather s'more weekend after next.)

Today also featured: continuing the positive trend started last weekend by the Amazing [livejournal.com profile] lightfoote (ALF) who cleaned out and tidied my sock drawer by culling 'n' cleaning out my extra-spice drawer, visiting and catching up w/LJ-free L for tea at Serenity Cottage, much kittenhead scritches 'n' love (Havana's quite enjoying the transition to Primary Kittenhead status), running errands, crossing items off the ToDo list, finishing my re-read of Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and letting all sorts of thinkie-thoughts wash over me...
