Just finished HP & Half-Blood Prince - or Half-Bloor as some would have it ;-p
Thinking the final volume's gonna be even thicker than Big Blue (#5).
Now to wander into the various disco entries to compare notes...

I can't help but think that so much emphasis was being made by the Death-Eaters in D's study that 'twas Malfoy that HAD to do the dirty deed (perhaps to fulfill some as yet unknown to us prophecy) that by Snape doing it it instead (even though clearly Malfoy chickened out and/or showed some humanity and couldn't), even if 'twas in part 'cause of that damn oath Snape swore, somehow the ultimate effect ain't gonna be as bad as it coulda been...sorta like when Aslan was sacrified 'stead of Edmund (Lion Witch & Wardrobe - CS Lewis' Chron of Narnia).
