dritikol, deviantgrrrl, lightfoote, and I went out and enjoyed classic cocktails at Little Red Bistro (tip of hat to lightfoote for the suggestion) followed by a trip to Vessel (thanks to the reco of Brandon/Brendon, bartender there & at LRS).
Tonight, some things I've hung onto for yonks have finally come into their own. I've had this cocktail shaker for years. Ditto other related items. Now, thanks todritikol, much of my bar has finally come together, blended well (sometimes stirring, sometimes shaking ;-), fruitfully, and tastily.
No drunken debauchery here. We made each drink singly then split 'em up four (4) ways into shot glasses (same compatriots as last week in Seattle 'cept w/LJ-less L in place oflightfoote). (Less successful experiments got tossed out rather than back.) Silliness and happiness abounded. Heck, it still does. Now, dritikol's reading Boozehound aloud. I'm pleased and happy having Dear Friends visit me at the Hive from SoCal.
