Last Wed & Th I helped

delerium3 build the floor for Nimnasium: NimGym2 (Electric Boogaloo) and stick it up on said floor (on casters - w/hat tip to AJ). Her Craigslist rescue green iguana (Nim) has grown and needed a larger room in which to romp, and so it is now so.

Th evening I headed over to the Washington Park amphitheater (by the Portland Rose Gardens) for the season opener of good FREE live music there this summer - Portland Taiko and the Lions of Batacuda - joined by a bunch of good people for a numbly potluck.

On Friday, I headed up to Rocky Bay to enjoy the good company of hostess

ladydrakaina (thank again!). The Amazing

lightfoote (ALF) met me in the afternoon and we canoodled all along the bay to the left outside the cabin (NE?) 'til we couldn't go any further, then came back along the opposite shore 'til we zoomed across the water. The weather was the best it'd be all weekend. After work,

ladydrakaina joined us for cheesey enchiladas and a campfire w/s'mores (yumbo!). ALF took off for home 'n' errands 'n' chores after a late breakfast on Sat. After some good lazing about and reading, we were ready for something more. The sun was NOT cooperating and swimming was NOT gonna happen (brrrr), so we headed off to the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire [NOTE: LOUD MUSIC/VOICES WILL SOUND WHEN YOU CLICK THE LINK, SO HIT MUTE OR LOWER THE VOLUME FIRST...OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES ;-)

'Twas fun! I skipped the turkey leg in favor of a good crepe. She introduced me to darn numbly soda (birch beer, sarsaparilla, honey root beer, and an amazingly good cream soda) at Sarsaparilla's (is that the name?) We got to hear the Faerie Tale Minstrel do his thing. Very good stuff - my first time hearing just AJ sing himself. I now have lots more CDs for my enjoyment and for Toad Ripping! Various people were there to hang out with and visit (very few of whom ended up in pics, as the weather meant I kept my camera mostly in my pocket). It felt quite odd being a muggle at a Faire. Mebbe next year I can return more properly attired!

Now I'm at CopperMoon (rather than zooming South from Gig Harbor to Portland yesterday, only to head up to CopperMoon again on Wed). We3 will head up to Mt Baker(ish) for the Perseids and hiking and camping this weekend (Th - Sun). More pics to come then.
